Who Is She?
I’m Mariah Fair-Fisk University graduate, author, storyteller, and intentional space stylist.
Everything I create is rooted in transformation of self, space, and spirit.
After earning my Bachelor of Arts in English Literature, I stepped straight into leadership, becoming CEO of my family’s multi-site daycare business. That experience taught me how to build systems, nurture environments, and lead with both structure and soul.
But writing was always calling me.
I branched off and released my debut novel, Some Women Prefer Hell, a raw and provocative story about womanhood, desire, and the quiet wars we fight within. The book struck a chord and became a movement—fueling nationwide conversations, packed-out book clubs, and speaking engagements rooted in honesty and healing.
A long-awaited sequel is in the works, told from the other side of survival.
As my audience grew, I launched Mind Over Modi, a personal blog where I share the pieces of my journey that don’t always make the highlight reel—faith, failure, reinvention, self-worth, and the art of starting over.
Next came Soul Full, a creative wellness café and bookstore I built from scratch in Chicago. What began as a quiet corner for coffee and conversation became a beloved community hub for self-care, journaling, and creative sisterhood. Soul Full has since evolved into a lifestyle brand offering subscription boxes, pop-up events, and journal workshops—all grounded in mental wellness and mind-body-soul alignment.
It was inside Soul Full’s four walls that I fell in love with the power of space. That’s where The Mariah Touch was born—my intentional design studio where I curate beautiful, functional environments for events, sanctuaries, offices, and personal spaces. I don’t just decorate—I reimagine the way people feel when they walk into a room.
Everything I do is about making space—on the page, in the room, and within ourselves—for truth, beauty, and becoming.
